CHA BAR CP | REVIEW
Cha bar is inside the Oxford Book Store, N block CP. It is exactly opposite to the Statesman building. It is an amazing place to sit and snack. Cha bar has an urban interior in combinations of white, blue and black. This distinguishes it from various other cafes in Delhi. It is an amazing place to chill alone and spend some time with your friends. The nearest metro station to reach Cha bar are Janpath & Rajiv chownk.
I really liked the place, as well as the concept of placing it inside a bookstore. This place not only charms the book lovers but will also impress you, if reading isn’t your thing. Café has amazing lighting and many windows, which makes it bright and ideal for readers. Cha bar is a small café and has sitting space for about 50 people. This is the reason that the café becomes a little noisy sometimes.
Cha bar’s menu is quite interesting. They serve about more than 100 varieties of tea. From regular masala tea, Bollywood tea, Assam tea to Ayurvedic teas. They also serve other beverages like smoothies, shakes, coffee etc. You also have many options to eat like salads, sandwiches, pasta, samosa, desi burgers, wraps, fries, mccain, pastries and cakes.
FOOD & MENU
After taking a long time reading the menu, I settled up on Smoothie & Basil Pesto and Vegetable Panini. The Smoothie was really refreshing and tasty; though it did not have any unique taste but wasn’t bad either. Basil Pesto and Vegetable Panini sandwich had a filling of bell peppers creamy sauce and a light flavor of basil. Sandwich was served with fries and tomato sauce and it was good in taste. However, I really looking forward to visit again to try some new things.
The food there was okay! It wasn’t the best. But it’s a really good place if you want to come and sit for long hours. Its ideal if you want to have a date where you want to talk and spend time without budging pocket too much. You will surely like this place if you are a tea person!
Preparations is really good, they serve your food really nicely. The place is neat and clean. But your order might take a little long, as the service here is a little slow.
Overall, I would love to go there again to explore some more eats. My experience there was no extraordinary. The food was fine but I really liked the interior. It’s a really good and a unique place to try once! But if you are looking to have a proper meal, this place is not a great option.
